Sunday July 1

Amazing things are ahead! I'm loving our new set up, and you even more each week. Just sayin'.

I know I had all the songs for this week already in the books and a set planned with "White Flag" and some other new/revised things on the burner. However, with finding out since then that some key team members will be out this week, I felt it was wise to change the line up and table that til' next week. So...you have another week to learn "White Flag."  Keep listening! Time permitting, we'll start to work on it this week but won't put it in the set for a bit longer. So, without further delay, here's the revised set for this week:

Worship Set:
Our God Saves
Hosanna, Praise is Rising
Waiting Here for You
You Are Good (Gateway Church)

Offering #1 - Jesus at the Center
Offering #2 - PD to play

 Frontline:
Soprano: Ashley
Alto: Bonnie, Cathy
Tenor: Epi, Russell

Colors: Your choice - stay within modesty guidelines

I love and appreciate all of you -- mucho!

Sunday, June 24

Our new set up is working FANTASTIC and I'm loving it more each week. Hope you are too. The team has been working together super-well and I'm very appreciative of all of you and how we have been working together.

We have some new songs coming up the next two weeks. If we all review the songs ahead of time, get to rehearsal on time and get rolling on time, what we will accomplish will be amazing. Please note the order this week:

Sunday Morning Set:

Break the Silence (new song - see it in the post below)
My Savior Lives
I Will Exalt You
I Exalt Thee

Offering: I Lift My Hands

Frontline: Minerva, Cathy
Alto: Aida, Bonnie
Tenor: Russell

*Special thanks once again to Minerva who is stepping in to help us out on soprano even with her school schedule being as it is right now. Very grateful to you, Minnie...

Colors: Your choice, just stay within platform guidelines

BAND MEMBERS - please note we are doing "Break the Silence" in the key of D, which is different from Citipointe.  Charts will be available to you on Wednesday if you need them early or please feel free to let me know if you need me to e-mail a chart. Let me know how I can help in any way.

I am grateful for the blessing of all of you. Please join me in prayer and fasting not only for our services, but some good things I desire to share with you over the coming weeks as we go forward.

Love you all,

The battle rages on
As storm and tempest roar
We cannot win this fight
Inside our rebel hearts
We're laying down our weapons now

We surrender all to You
All for You
We raise our white flag
The war is over
Love has come Your love has won

Here on this holy ground
You made a way for peace
Laying Your body down
You took our rightful place
This freedom song is marching on

We have so many people out this week we will not be learning any new material.  (Minerva has also made herself available to sing on the frontline this week since we need some extra help. Thank you, Minnie!)

Just a re-cap of what I shared on Sunday at rehearsal for those who may have missed it:

We are down a few members on the frontline for the summer. Minerva will be out until her schooling is finished. She will still sing in choir and be there for services, but not attend early rehearsal while she's in school. She is also helping us out in a pinch this week, which is greatly appreciated.

Suzanne is traveling a lot this summer as well as launching a new business and will be taking the summer off from the Frontline but will be returning as soon as school starts back up.  We look forward to having her back with us! She's graciously also agreed in the meantime to help us in a pinch on the weekends that she and Mac are not traveling.

With two members out on the frontline this summer, and most of us taking vacations at some point, communication in advance is even more important!

Unless it is a case of emergency at the last minute (sickness, last minute called into work, etc.) please let me know ASAP when you are going to be missing.  Every team member is important, and every team member has an effect on what we are able to do or not do for any given Sunday. It's really important unless it's an emergency that I know by Thursday morning so that I can rearrange everything and re-do the charts and books if need be.  (My day off is Friday.) If your absence is not an emergency and I find out at the last minute it basically means I don't take a day off that week, or things get thrown together at the last minute. Neither option is preferable for my health, for the church's health, or for our team's health.

So, what I'm asking is that if you know you are going to be absent in advance, please let me know preferably in writing (by email, Facebook, text, etc.) as soon as you know you're going to be out any given week. I ask for it in writing simply because I have so much that I'm responsible for during service time or rehearsal time that if you tell me then it's very likely I'm going to forget. If you give it to me during the week in writing I put it on my calendar that you are going to be out, and remember as I am putting together worship service orders.

Thanks in advance for your help with this as it helps in so many areas!

Thank you also for your continued dedication to Celebration Worship Ministries.

A few other things --

  • Our new set up absolutely rocks...I am totally loving it!
  • Our sound Sunday was superb. Outstanding.
  • Rehearsal has been a great experience the past two Sundays. Thank you working together as we have been at a new level.

You're appreciated and you are loved.

Sunday, June 10

Wow, wow, wow is all I can say about Sunday!! Not only is our new fantastic set in place, but you all rocked it. Thank you for your cooperation in all the tweaking we needed to get our sound right. We lost a monitor in the process of the move, and had glitches here and there but by service time they were all worked out. Whenever we do a major move (clearing of the stage and new set) these issues are a given. You worked together and we were ready by 10:30! And we just killed it on the new song! Oh my, the church just responded like crazy to JESUS AT THE CENTER.

This week we don't have any brand new material per se, but we are resurrecting "I Need You to Survive." It works perfect with our current series. We will use it for both worship AND altar time, with the band and frontline coming back for altar this week.

Worship Set:
Again I Say Rejoice
Say So
My All
Jesus at the Center

Song for Communion: Lead Me to the Cross

Song for Offering: I Need You to Survive

*Band and Frontline coming back for altar time

Frontline:
Soprano: Naomi and Ashley
Alto: Bonnie and Aida
Tenor: Epi and Russell

Colors: Your choice - stay in platform guidelines

Don't forget - this week is beach day and water baptism at Ft. DeSoto after service. If you haven't signed up with Rachael Rice or Liane Madden, please do so!!!

I love and appreciate you all...

Always,

Refresher: I Need You to Survive

Please do a refresher on this song! We will be singing it this week for special music with the entire band, frontline and choir.

Thank you!

I need you, you need me.
We're all a part of God's body.
Stand with me, agree with me.
We're all a part of God's body.

It is his will, that every need be supplied.
You are important to me, I need you to survive.
You are important to me, I need you to survive.
(repeat 3X)

I pray for you, You pray for me.
I love you, I need you to survive.
I won't harm you with words from my mouth.
I love you, I need you to survive.
(repeat 8 X)

It is his will, that every need be supplied.
You are important to me, I need you to survive
