Stuff to know for Sunday morning, March 1st

WE'RE MARCHING TO A MIRACLE!

And yes, yes, yes, yes yes Joel Powell (and Margaret!) I think my friends are going to be here this weekend. Yes, my friends, my friends, my friends! I shall say it again...my FRIENDS!!! John McCain is not the only one famous for saying, "My Friends"! ha ha!

On a serious note..............

Worship songs for this weekend are:
Freedom
Blessed Be Your Name
Freedom Reigns
God of This City

Choir song: "We Have Come into This House"

Colors: Black and white

And a special reminder that the CHOIR LUNCHEON AND REHEARSAL is this weekend. This is very important. We're going to work on some things for Easter. Yes, it's right around the corner. There are only a few rehearsals before then. Easter is a mere 7 weeks away!

This week we're going to do something DIFFERENT for our luncheon. It's going to be a homemade soup and yummy sandwich luncheon. I'm going to ask all of you to bring either a pot of homemade soup, or a tray/plate of sandwiches. I will do sign ups to make sure we have a good amount and variety of both. I will ask only one specific person to do dessert this time, so please do not bring dessert unless you are the one person I have asked . Also, in addition to your soup or sandwich plate, please bring a 2-liter beverage to share.

Let's have a great week in the Lord. Most of all, your PRAYERS will ensure that.

Love and appreciate you all!

Choir Notes for Sunday, February 22

It's going to be an exciting week!! I am pumped!!!

Not that I'm not pumped for every week but I am especially stoked for this week because I believe it's going to be UNIQUE...DIFFERENT...GOD IS GOING TO DO A NEW THING.

Don't forget, it's the "Q & A with the Pastors" during the message portion of the service this week. I believe God is going to work powerfully through it. So INVITE SOMEBODY and make sure you don't miss it yourself.

What's happening with music?

Worship:

I Know Who I Am
God is Great
Healer
Still

What to wear: Black and red

Please note that right now we're going to be getting prepared for Easter, believe it or not. Yes, it's right around the corner. We'll have some special music numbers and some other things I'll tell you about at the next choir rehearsal. Your attendance at each rehearsal is VERY IMPORTANT to the effectiveness of our week to week ministry and Easter Sunday! So please give special attention to it.

Important things for Sunday, February 15

Message from Maddie Shrodes to Joel Powell: " I love you and I'm praying for you. Please don't stop reading the blog because of me. I'm sorry if I've done anything to offend you. Blessings to you my brother in Christ..."

Okay folks, you'd have to be at rehearsal to understand the above message. If you missed it, well...don't miss again! Wow, what an awesome service this past Sunday! And get ready because a brand new level is in store for this week. I'm serious! And I'm PUMPED! I can't wait.

We're singing about freedom again. Sorry, I can't help it. There's a new thing God is doing and we're finally free of some stuff and moving forward in a way that hasn't been possible previously. God is so good. Get ready, get ready, get ready. And no, these are not just cliches...I am serious as a heart attack. Okay, for the worship songs for this week:

Freedom
We Have Overcome
Freedom Reigns
Awesome in This Place

Choir Song: We Have Come Into This House (from Give Him the Praise)

Colors: Black and white

Prayer requests from this past week's choir rehearsal:

  • Pastor Trinity - healing and grace as he goes through chemo
  • Susan's job - continued favor
  • Hunter - upcoming MRI test. Praise report: he does not need glasses!!!
  • The Shehan's - safe travel; get quickly moved in and settled with us! Yay!!!!!!
  • Fine Arts - anointing, safety, creativity, God's favor for our youth
  • Lois - Alex's sister in law - total healing and also encouragement for her husband, John.
  • Kirstie - hurt hand during rehearsal for fine arts
  • David Torres - boot camp

By the way, the showing of the Fireproof movie will be open to ALL adults on Sunday night at 6 pm, not just married couples. However the evening is for adults and we ask if you do not put your children in the provided childcare (for a donation to our fine arts youth ministry) then please arrange child care for them outside the church. After the movie there will be discussion and prayer for marriages.

It's going to be a great week. Buckle up, we are in for some exciting days. I can't wait to tell you all about it.

TSA: Terrific Sunday Ahead!!!

The picture of unity...Madeline Shrodes and Baby Garland co-exist peacefully at the Northside office. Even the animals at Northside are anointed. :-)

I can't wait! God is going to continue to do great things -- a NEW THING. ''

Speaking of new things before I go any further, I just want to announce (if you didn't get my e-mail already!) that our friends, Jim and Janice, have a home here in Florida and are moving their first truckload down this weekend! I can hardly believe it. The day is FINALLY here. All of you choir members are saying, "praise the Lord, we've been hearing PD talk about this forever...now the day is finally here and she can move on to talking about something else. (GRIN) Seriously though, they are moving this weekend, and then probably again the next weekend with another truckload. I am still pinching myself that they are actually going to be here...and in the choir! Oh MY! I know you can't wait to meet them as well. Not sure if they will be in service this weekend or still moving and stuff, but we'll see. Pray for them as they make this transition...thank you!
Stuff to know musically for this weekend:

Praise & Worship:
God is Moving
Days of Elijah
The More I Seek You
Give Us Clean Hands

Choir Song: Right now I have "In All The Earth" scheduled but this may change -- don't worry, it will be something you know well if I have to make a change.

Colors: Red and Black

And don't forget...........this weekend is choir luncheon and rehearsal. Please bring a generous dish to share with everyone and a 2-liter beverage. Prepare for fun, fun, fun as we fellowship and rehearse together.

MOST OF ALL PRAY FOR THIS WEEKEND THAT GOD WOULD DO A MIGHTY THING IN OUR MIDST!

Love you
