Things to know for Sunday, August 17
UPDATED again on Friday!!

What a service Sunday! I'm telling you, worship is at a H.N.L. (hole 'nother level!) Get ready, the best is yet to come as long as we pray it in. It's time to press in!

CHOIR SONG FOR SUNDAY: He's Been Good

Speaking of luncheon, don't forget it's a potluck lunch again this week (bring enough for your family - plus -- and a 2-liter of soda), with rehearsal to immediately follow. Lots of news upcoming, so make sure you are there. We're actually going to talk about... (gasp!) Christmas.

We're going to a new level in worship at choir practice this week too...just come and see what it's all about. Also please note that for rehearsal I'd like you to be familiar with "In That Name" from the Obvious Collection. Please rehearse this with your rehearsal trax before Sunday afternoon.

And last, but not least...thank you Eddie Rivera, for fixing the air conditioning. :-) And for bringing our sound to a HNL.

Love you all...

What a service!

Wow, the presence of God was so strong in our midst this past Sunday was amazing! We're going to another level this week, so get ready, and pray it in! As you know we ended up doing "Healer" Sunday morning because the Holy Spirit just led that way. What a time!

As Pastor mentioned on Sunday, where God is doing things, the devil shows up too! So we need to be in much prayer for His Kingdom to be increased, and the assignments of the enemy to be cancelled. Join me in intercession and fasting this week, for continued breakthroughs. Love and appreciate all of you...

Worship Line Up for Sunday:

The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower/Blessed Be the Name
Trading My Sorrows
Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone
Healer

Choir Song: In All the Earth

Colors for Sunday: it's another "your choice" of color Sunday but please make sure you are within platform dress guidelines!

Other news:

Welcome to Epi and Ashley - new choir members! We are blessed to have you!

Don't forget our next rehearsal is Sunday afternoon, August 17 - again it will be a choir covered dish luncheon. Reminder that entire choir families are welcome to stay but please bring enough food to cover. We will eat right after church and then get down to practice.

Prayer Requests:

Susan Lilly - financial breakthrough, second job, emotional healing.

** Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone is posted below - for you to learn if you don't already know it...

AMAZING GRACE MY CHAINS ARE GONE

Wow! What a service Sunday! I'm still thanking God for all that He did. The best is yet to come.

As promised in rehearsal Sunday, I'm posting this video for you to learn for this upcoming Sunday. Dustin and I did this as a special number this past week, but in this week upcoming we'll sing it in worship. So be ready!

AMAZING GRACE MY CHAINS ARE GONE

Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed

CHORUS:

My chains are gone! I've been set free!
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures

Verse 3:

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, the sun forget to shine
But God, who called me here below, will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Start learning this song NOW! (UPDATED 8/18)

UPDATED 8/18/08 - I had the original Planetshakers video on here however they removed it from YouTube. I like the way Planetshakers does the song and this was the only other video I could find -- it's a cartoon...but at least you can hear the song.

We begin rehearsal on this Sunday, and will introduce it to the congregation in the upcoming weeks. This song is hot, hot, hot right now and it's no wonder why!!! It's so amazing. I'm just a lih-tle bit excited about it. Get ready, get ready, get ready...

Ever notice I say things in three's when I get excited?

Yes, yes, yes.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!

:)

Lyrics below...

HEALER

You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease
I trust in You
I trust in You

I believe You're my Healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe You're my Portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus You're all I need

Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
You hold my world in Your hands
