Sunday, August 30

Hello team ~

What a fantastic group of people you are. We are SO BLESSED. I never lose sight of this, believe me. Every day I thank God for you.

What's happening this week:

Praise and Worship:
God is Moving
Days of Elijah

Choir Song: "I Feel the Rain" (It'll work perfect with missions weekend... "and every tribe and every nation...will see his power in demonstration..." plus it's just a kickin song, let's face it...)

Colors: Black and White

Don't forget Sunday night is also missions banquet. You will not be ministering, as God willing we will have guest music ministers that night. However please be there, on time! And get ready to be blessed!!! Challenged!!! Changed!!!

Please note that choir luncheons and rehearsals have been scheduled for September 6 and 20. Please plan accordingly. Soon we start the Christmas music. Can you believe it??!

Also a special prayer request came in from Susan this week for her nephew Jedediah. We have prayed for him many times and seen God do amazing things! Right now the doctors are saying due to his condition he may never walk, but WE WILL BELIEVE GOD'S REPORT!

Thank you also for your continued uplifting of Misty Mackley. She is home and doing well but still needs our daily prayers of course.

Also please remember me as I go in for my test this coming Friday morning. I have to be there at 8 am but it will take place at 9:30. Thanks for lifting me up. Love you all!!!

Song of Hope (Heaven Come Down)

Song of Hope (Heaven Come Down)

All things bright and beautiful You are
All things wise and wonderful You are
In my darkest night, you brighten up the skies
A song will rise...

Sing a song of hope sing along
God of heaven come down, heaven come down
Just to know that you are near is enough
God of heaven come down, heaven come down

All things new I can start again
Creator God calling me Your friend
Sing praise my soul to the Maker of the skies
A song will rise...

Amazing Sunday Ahead!!!

Last week was awesome. As someone said, "we're on fire"! Yes, we are. Get ready because this coming week will be one of the greatest weeks ever at Northside. As we've mentioned, there's a huge surprise in store. Come expecting to share in what will be a very memorable day. There is also huge potential to reach people for Christ. We need to be prayed up and READY. Here's what going on that I can tell you about...

Choir Song: "I Feel the Rain" (yep, we're doing it again! You killed it last week! By that I mean, you were AMAZING. Ashley hit it out of the ballpark. I've listened to the CD several times. Wow, is all I can say. We're doing an encore of this one this week.)

Colors: Black and purple, or solid purple, or solid black

See you this week for one of the best days EVER!

Desert Song

Ugh! I forgot until TODAY (Thursday) to post this...sorta had a lot going on this week. Sorry! But none of you precious peeps said, "hey, where's the song?" Um, are you not reading this blog til' Saturday night just in time to see what you are going to wear in the morning? Caught ya!

Here is the song and lyrics:

Verse 1: This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides

Verse 2: This is my prayer in the fire
in weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flame

CHORUS:
I will bring praise, I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice, I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

Verse 3: This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

Verse 4: This is my prayer in the harvest, when favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow

Bridge: All of my life, in every season, You are still God, I have a reason to sing...I have a reason to worship...
