Things to know for November 16

It's going to be a great week!

Just a reminder to everyone in worship ministries that the youth worship team will be leading once again this Sunday morning, November 2. The choir and frontline who are not in the youth worship team will be "off" from rehearsal and being on the platform this Sunday ~~ but NOT off from church! Come out in full force to support the youth worship team! (And while you're at it don't forget to be faithful to Sunday School as well!)

THIS WEEK IS THE SECTIONAL CHOIR REHEARSAL!!!

A reminder to bring a bag lunch or go out quickly to eat after service and be back by 1:30 pm PROMPTLY.

Those running the sectional rehearsals are:

Ashley Ruiz - soprano
Bonnie Stewart - alto
Todd Stewart - tenor

The main song for rehearsal is "Halleluiah". Please go over this at home with your track as much as possible in prep for the sectional rehearsal.

Prayer requests from this last week's rehearsal:

Ruth - having health issues with left leg (pinched nerve) - is having test on the 13th. Pray for complete healing. She thanks everyone for prayers last week during her absence.

Tina - needs rest/sleep

Susan - finances

Becky - pray for Nicole's fever and sickness - not sure what it is but she needs a touch from the Lord.

Lisa - school; the wedding

Also pray for Pastor Deanna and Sue while they are in Africa this week.

Also don't forget to pray for a POWERFUL service at Northside this weekend.

Sunday, November 2

Just a reminder to everyone in worship ministries that the youth worship team will be leading for this Sunday morning, November 2. The choir and frontline who are not in the youth worship team will be "off" from rehearsal and being on the platform this Sunday ~~ but NOT off from church! Come out in full force to support the youth worship team! (And while you're at it don't forget to be faithful to Sunday School as well!)

Just a gentle reminder as well that next week (the 9th) is a choir lunch/rehearsal day. Be prepared to bring a dish to share and 2 liter drink, AND to have "Halleluiah" in the Christmas book ready to rehearse as well as continually going over the songs we have already rehearsed for Christmas.

Please also review your rehearsal trax of "Love of My Life" from Obvious, and "Everywhere" and "We'll Build Your Church Lord" from the Missions music. We're going to do those upcoming and I want you to brush up to be prepared.

Enjoy your week off from getting up early to come to rehearsal but remember...you are needed as praisers and worshippers in the sanctuary on Sunday, to be "thermostats" to take the church into a new realm of freedom in worship!!!

Sunday, October 19th

Worship Line Up:
We Have Overcome (Thanks be to God...)
Freedom (I wanna clap a little louder...)
Freedom Reigns
Let it Rain

Choir Song: "You Are" (since I decided last minute to do "In that Name" last week. :-)

Colors: Browns, Khaki's, beige, etc.

You can find a few links to the song Freedom Reigns and the words below.

Worship was so off the chain this past week, it was amazing. What freedom came into the place. It's a new season!

PLEASE be in prayer for this Sunday's service and come expecting even greater things. The past few months God has been doing a work, lining things up for a fresh move of God at Northside. Now we just need to step into it and let the Lord have His way.

Just a reminder this coming week is the choir luncheon. Please bring a generous dish to share as well as a 2-liter beverage. If your children will be staying for rehearsal please bring something quiet for them to do, under your supervision.

Can't wait to see what unfolds this week!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom

FALLING ON EVERY FACE
THERE IS FREEDOM

We shout to every wall, come down! We shout to every wall, come down!
We shout to every wall, we shout to every wall, there is freedom! (repeat)

Things to know for October 12!

It's Friend's Day this week! Here's what's up!

Worship order:
Trading My Sorrows
We Have Overcome
How Great is Our God/How Great Thou Art
God of this City

** Depending on how it goes in rehearsal we may also do the song "Freedom" that is in the post below for you to listen to and learn. Please be prepared! If we don't have it ready this week, DEFINITELY the next.

Dress code for Sunday: we are dressing down for Sunday for "Friends Day". This means things like jeans are appropriate as well as capris, t-shirts, etc. However, all modesty rules still apply. No strapless, skinny straps, bare backs, shorts or short skirts. And...NO cleavage or crack (Do I really need to say this? I shouldn't have to but I don't ever want to assume anything -- so I remind you!) If you want to wear shorts for the lunch afterwards, please bring them with you to change into.

VERY IMPORTANT...bring lawn chairs for Sunday and bring any that you might have for your guests too. We are eating outside afterwards and everyone will need lawn chairs for this purpose. Thank you for giving attention to this.

Also a reminder to learn the first FIVE songs in your Christmas book. Song you are currently focusing on is, "Alleluia Praise Jehovah". Our next lunch/rehearsal is not this Sunday, but the next.

Remember to pray, pray, pray for Sunday! It's harvest time!!!
